Popular at major film festivals
Piper-Heidsieck champagne with its distinctive red label is a popular choice in the international film and art world. This champagne brand owes its popularity in part to being served at major film festivals from Cannes to Venice. In the Netherlands, too, Piper-Heidsieck is widely enjoyed in the creative sector. Piper-Heidsieck is a light, floral, and elegant champagne, perfect for receptions and festive gatherings.Piper-Heidsieck Champagnes
The most well-known champagne from this champagne house is the Piper-Heidsieck Brut, featuring its distinctive red label. Additionally, the Piper-Heidsieck Rosé Sauvage is another widely consumed champagne from the house. The Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Sublime, formerly labeled in purple, is a very fruity demi-sec champagne. Its taste is characterized by juicy citrus fruit, cinnamon, and vanilla notes, making it delightful as a dessert wine. The vintage champagnes from Piper-Heidsieck each have their own unique character. Every Piper-Heidsieck vintage is distinct, following its own process, and each vintage champagne has its own blend. For the Vintage Brut 2006 champagne, 18 primarily Premier Crus and Grand Crus have been selected. The Vintage Brut 2006 is an intense and seductive champagne, clear in color and with a high percentage of Chardonnay.

The Origin of the Champagne House in 1785
Florens-Louis Heidsieck founded the champagne house in 1785, and his son Christiaan Heidsieck continued the business with assistants Henri Piper, cousin Christian Walbaum, and J.C. Kunkelmann. The widow of Christiaan Heidsieck took over the leadership of the company. When she married Henri Piper in 1837, the champagne house began focusing on the international market. The company became a great success in America, and later, Heidsieck was also introduced to the Russian market.
Heidsieck, Kunkelman, and Piper Heidsieck
When Kunkelman inherited the company in 1870, the name was changed to Kunkelman. It wasn't until the house was inherited by his granddaughter, the Marquise de Suarez d’Aulun, in 1930 that the champagne house was renamed Piper Heidsieck.
In 1988, the company was acquired by Rémy Martin, who elevated the company to a higher level. Under Rémy Martin's leadership, the quality was further enhanced by sourcing grapes of exceptionally high quality. By giving each grape variety and harvest its own treatment with a process without malolactic fermentation, the sparkling wines of the champagne house have since greatly improved. They are lively, fruity champagnes with well-defined aromas and subtle, complex scents.
