Laurent-Perrier Champagne House was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot. In 1887, it was taken over by Eugène Laurent and later by his wife, Mathilde Emilie Perrier, who continued to run the champagne house after his death in 1887. Today, the house is still family-owned and is managed by the de Nonancourt family, who took over the business in 1939.
